ELECTRO-ACUPUNCTURE

Similar to traditional acupuncture in that the same points are stimulated during treatment. Needles are attached to device where small electric current is passed between pairs of acupuncture needles. This therapy can enhance progress with regular acupuncture. It can help increase flood flow, reduce chronic pain, restore health and well-being. It has been widely used in China for neurological conditions and for stroke.

CUPPING THERAPY

Therapeutic treatment of TMC which involves warming and placing cups, usually made of glass, on the skin to create suction. The suction draws stagnant blood to the surface of the skin and improves blood circulation through the tissues which promotes speedy healing, reducing pain and easing soreness. Cupping is still regularly used in Chinese hospital, clinics and elsewhere. It is becoming more popular in the Western Hemisphere. Many world-class athletes admit the benefits to using cupping. Cupping combined with acupuncture is superior to acupuncture alone for significantly reducing pain intensity compared with conventional drugs. Cupping may offer significant relief for many painful conditions.

Moxibustion, short for “Moxa,” is one of TCM techniques that involves burning mugwort, a small, spongy herb to promote healing. It is a form of heat therapy that are burned very near the surface of the skin. It is used to strengthen and stimulate the blood flow of the vital “Qi” energy.

ACUPRESSURE

Acupressure is an ancient healing TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) technique of using the fingers to gradually press onto the key healing points which stimulate the body’s natural self-healing abilities. It releases tension, reduces pain, increases circulation, and detoxify the body for vibrant health. It is commonly used in combination with cupping to enhance the healing process.
